John Scott, a Preparations Chemist in the Metals Group, has expertise in microwave digestion of water, soil and tissue samples. In addition, he conducts instrumental analysis for metals by ICP/MS, Atomic Absorption Spectrometry and has experience in arsenic speciation.

Education:

B.S. in Chemistry/Environmental Health, Illinois State University, 2000

Instrument Experience:

Perkin-Elmer and VG ICP/MS Systems; Varian Atomic Absorption, HPLC, IC, GC/MS, UV/VIS spectrometer; CEM Mars Microwave Digestion System.
