Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs)

PAH compounds can be analyzed using either GC/MS or HPLC with the latter method being more sensitive particularly for the larger molecules. Our group analyzes and separates 15 PAH compounds by a gradient HPLC method with optimized fluorescence detection on the Waters Alliance System. The detection limits for most of the late eluting PAH compounds are at the low ppb level.
