Vision

Enhance mission readiness, improve environmental quality and promote sustainable installations in the State of Illinois through active participation in this partnership between Department of Defense Installations and Federal and State Agencies and Organizations.

Mission Statement

Incorporate environmental management systems, pollution prevention techniques and a proactive approach to incorporate environmental considerations into military activities and operations in Illinois.

Goals

• Promote open dialog and environmental information exchange with a focus on pollution prevention
• Develop environmental partnering activities
• Integrate environmental management systems and pollution prevention techniques into daily activities to enhance mission readiness and to reduce the quantity and toxicity of pollutants generated
• Set environmental goals and targets to promote continuous improvement
